Parents will have a peace of mind as our all nannies are issued with Temporary Work Permit (TWP) by MOM when they start her assignment with you. Which means that your confinement nanny assigned to you is legally working in Singapore with a valid Temporary Work Permit.
As a licensed employment agency, we will settle all the necessary paperwork for the application of nanny’s TWP. All you have to do is to pay for the administrative fee and levy for nanny’s TWP.

Employer’s Guidelines
The employer have to be:
- Above the age of 21
- Not an undischarged bankrupt
- Singaporean/PR/Employment Pass Holder
(Note: Confinement nannies are issued Temporary Work Permits (TWP) instead of regular Work Permits.)
Information to Prepare before Application of TWP
Parents please prepare the following documents as MOM might request during submission:
- IC details of both employer and spouse (Singapore issued IC)
- Passport details, EP details for both employer and spouse (EP Holders)
- Marriage Certificate
Administrative Fee for Application of TWP
An administrative fee of $35 will be charged for every Work Permit Application submitted to MOM.
Validity of TWP
The validity of the Temporary Work Permit is given up to a maximum of 16 weeks, starting from the child’s date of birth.
Foreign Worker Levy
The Ministry Of Manpower (MOM) charged a levy for hiring foreign confinement nannies as they are considered Foreign Domestic Workers (FDW). The levy will start on the day the TWP is issued.
The Central Provident Fund Board (CPF) will collect the levy on behalf of MOM. The levy bill will be mailed to directly to the employer on the following month. If the employer has a Giro account for their FDW, the levy will be deducted directly from their approved Giro account.
The levy fees for a confinement nanny are as follows:
- $60 per calendar month for employers who are Singapore Citizens
- $300 per calendar month for employers who are non-Singapore Citizens
Medical Insurance required by MOM
MOM requires all employers to have medical insurance cover for confinement nanny. (Kindly check with your own insurance agent or we can pass you more information if required.)

“You are required to purchase and maintain Medical Insurance for your foreign worker’s inpatient care and day surgery during her stay in Singapore. For medical insurance policies taken up or renewed on or after 1 Jan 2010, the insurance coverage must be at least S$15,000. Please note that under the Regulatory Conditions of Work Permits, employers are responsible for and shall bear the cost of the upkeep and maintenance of their foreign workers, including the provision of medical treatment.”
